Hot Lunch Program

The Owen Public School Parent Council and volunteers coordinate the hot lunch delivery program as both a fun lunch option and a fundraiser for students. This optional program allows parents to pre-order "hot" meals, delivered by “The Lunch Lady” on Mondays and Fridays. There are two sessions each school year, the first runs from October 21 to December 20. This service is in addition to Thursday Pizza Day.
Lunchtime & After School Programs

Lunchtime and after-school programs are structured extracurricular activities designed to enrich students' learning experiences beyond the regular school curriculum. These programs, which take place during lunch breaks or after school hours, offer a wide range of opportunities, including language classes, arts, sports, robotics, dance, and music. They foster creativity, teamwork, and skill development while providing a supportive environment for students to explore their interests, build confidence, and enhance academic and social growth.
Cross Country

In TDSB schools cross-country running is a non-contact, long-distance running sport held during the fall season (typically September to October) for elementary and secondary students. It involves students running a set distance over varied terrain, such as grass, trails, and parks. Cross country is open to students grade 2 and up. Students usually compete within their grade divisions. Practice runs are held Mondays and Wednesdays 8:15am at school.
Please note cross country season for school year 2024-25 is completed. Details for next school year will be shared via Owen Outlook in the Fall.
